The passing of Bob McKay, Board Director, former client, friend and tireless advocate

March 03, 2016
We are deeply saddened to share that Bob McKay passed away on March 2, as a result of cardiac arrest. Bob was a former ErinoakKids client, and current Board Director. He has been a dedicated spokesperson for possibilities, and has been the face of ErinoakKids for many years.

“Bob was one of the kindest, funniest and most determined people I have ever had the privilege of knowing,” says ErinoakKids President and CEO, Bridget Fewtrell. “His intelligence and wisdom was undeniable. Bob was and is much loved by all of us who knew him, and formed an integral part of the fabric of our organization from the time he came to us as a very young client at the tender age of 3.”

Did you know?

Did you know that by introducing your child to early life skills from ages five to seven (such as helping to make your child’s bed, tidy his or her room, unpack and pack his or her school backpack, and set the table and clear dishes at the end of a meal) is preparing him or her for the responsibility of expanded home and community-based life skills as a young adult?
