Applied Behaviour Analysis Services and Supports
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) based Services and Supports for children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder are designed to help these children develop skills in key areas and to address behaviours that interfere with functioning. Services and supports focus on the following four key areas:
Social Skills Development
Daily Living Skills
Behaviour Management/Emotional Regulation
ABA-based Services and Supports focus on the skill area requiring immediate attention. Services are provided for 2-4 hours per week, for a period of 2-6 months. Children who require additional skill areas to be addressed after the initial service plan is completed will return to the wait list prior to accessing further ABA-based services. Services and supports include access to:
parent information and education sessions
one-to-one and group sessions
flexible services (in the home, at an ErinoakKids site and/or in the community)
flexible hours (evenings and/or weekends).
ErinoakKids provides services and supports to children ages 0 – 8 years (up to 9th birthday), in collaboration with our partners. Kerry's Place Autism Services, together with their partners, provides services and supports to children and adolescents aged 9-17 years.
