Become a Volunteer

VolunteersTo become an ErinoakKids volunteer, you must be at least 14 years of age. We have many types of volunteers from high school, college and university students, to graduate school candidates, professionals, retirees, families and siblings of clients.

Starting your volunteer journey at ErinoakKids takes four simple steps:

Step 1: Complete the online volunteer application form, which consists of key documents, releases and a link to the reference form

Step 2:Download and read the Medical Clearance letter (page 1) and have a doctor complete the form (page 2).

Step 3: Qualified applicants will be contacted and scheduled to be interviewed. Please note that not all applicants are granted interviews.

Step 4: Details about the Orientation guide will be provided once you have been confirmed as a volunteer.

"The [Volunteer Resources] Coordinator as well as the Supervisor train and educate us properly by giving enough information to understand the purpose, goals, and objectives of the program, client needs and our role as a volunteer." - ErinoakKids Volunteer, Complex Care Respite Services

Did you know?

Did you know that toddlers and young children like it when you get down to their level so they can see your face?  This tells them that you’re interested in what they’re doing and saying.  It makes it easier to interact with you.
