Autism (ABA) Services

ErinoakKids is pleased to offer 1:1 Applied Behaviour Analysis services for children with autism ages two to nine years old*, now available for purchase. 

Packages are fully inclusive, available for two or three half days per week and include access to high quality ErinoakKids resources. 

Spaces are limited and available by semester on a first come, first served basis. 

Registration

Registration for the winter semester (January to March 2025) will open on
November 14, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. 

If your child will be between the ages of two and nine on January 1, 2025 they are eligible for the winter semester. 



Program Overview

Each semester begins with an individual assessment and behaviour plan, led by a Behaviour Clinician and supervised by a Registered Behaviour Analyst.

Therapy sessions are one on one with a Behaviour Clinician. Children and families have access to consultations with ErinoakKids professionals and an extensive suite of high quality resources including: on-site accessible gyms and playgrounds, specialized equipment, in-person and virtual workshops and learning resources for children and families.   

Included, every semester:  

  • 1:1 therapy with a Behaviour Clinician  
  • Ongoing clinical supervision and oversight by a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) 
  • Individualized assessment and Behaviour Intervention Plan based on identified priority goals 
  • Consultation with a Speech Language Pathologist (as needed) 
  • Consultation with an Occupational Therapist (as needed) 
  • Opportunities for social interaction and group activities. 
  • Access to ErinoakKids resources and facility features, including the gym, Snoezelen sensory room, online virtual resources and more!
  • Parents/caregivers will receive regular updates and can arrange to observe sessions as needed.
  • Progress is monitored and tracked via Catalyst software, parents/caregivers will have unlimited access to Catalyst.
  • Parent/caregiver coaching

Packages are available for two or three half day, three hour sessions per week, per semester (fall, winter, summer and spring.)   

Morning sessions: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Afternoon sessions: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

What is included in the package?

Are there any additional costs?

Package costs are inclusive of everything from an individualized assessment and Behaviour Assessment Plan to additional consultation with ErinoakKids professionals (SLP or OTs) as well as use of high quality ErinoakKids resources. Any costs for additional services or therapies that result from consultation with your therapist would be discussed separately and require a separate referral.  

This is a 1:1 service. For children who require more support, it may be necessary to explore options outside of ErinoakKids. 

Fees have been determined by the number of weeks in a semester, including allowances for statutory holidays/site closures (e.g. severe weather) and staff meetings

Can I pay in installments?

Payment plans are available and will align with Ontario Autism Program (OAP) funding deadlines where possible. The initial payment is due on booking. For the winter 2025 semester, the payment schedule is as folllows: 

Two Days/Week: 
Due on booking: $6300.00
January 15: $3675.00
February 15: $3675.00

Three Days/Week
Due on booking: $9450.00
January 15: $5512.50
February 15: $5512.50

ErinoakKids will accept payment via Visa or Mastercard, credit or debit.

What do you work on in sessions?
Sessions will be tailored to the individual needs of your child, guided by the goals you set with your child and with your clinical team. A session may include (but is not limited to):activities that target learning objectives such as
  • communication skills
  • daily living skills
  • toileting
  • feeding
  • decreasing challenging behaviour (e.g. self-injury, aggression, property destruction, etc.)
  • school/learning readiness
  • and more! 
How do I register?
When registration opens for a semester, an online form will be available on www.erinoakkids.ca/aba to begin the process. Once the form has been submitted, you will be placed into a line to receive a call to finalize payment and submit the signed terms of engagement. ErinoakKids will accept payment via Visa or Mastercard, credit or debit. 

Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Your registration is not final until payment has been received and we have received your signed terms of engagement.  
 
Do I have to pay for parking?
Starting November 1, 2024, parking is free for client families in the gated lots at our sites. Take a ticket on the way in, validate it at the machine inside when you are ready to leave and use it to exit! 

If you are dropping off or picking up for sessions and you will be less than 40 minutes, no need to validate...just use your ticket to exit for free. Please see our Parking FAQ for more information.
What do I bring to a session?
Your child should bring a backpack with nut free, shellfish free snacks, water and a change of clothes. Any additional items your child will require will be discussed with your clinical team prior to your start date.

If your child requires medication during the hours of a session, please discuss with the intake team member prior to finalizing your registration.

 
What if we miss a session due to illness or other reasons? Are refunds available?
There are no refunds for missed sessions. Fees are fully inclusive and have been determined by semester to include allowances for holidays/site closures. Your clinician will work with you/your child to make sure your child benefits from every session they attend during a semester.  
Are these services eligible to be covered by OAP funding?
Yes. Receipts will be provided upon request for reconciliation.
Can I watch sessions?
Yes, we strongly encourage parents to participate in and observe sessions. Please speak to your clinical supervisor to arrange an opportunity either in person or via video.
