Diversity Equity and Inclusion at ErinoakKids


ErinoakKids proudly serves families living in Oakville, Mississauga, Brampton and Orangeville – some of the country’s most diverse communities.

We celebrate an inclusive environment which welcomes and respects the differences of our clients and their families, employees, volunteers and community partners.

Our focus on ensuring an integrated approach to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace means we incorporate meaningful practices, policies and processes in all aspects of the work we do. We value the unique background, experiences, skills and talent of our staff – all of which help us to be more creative, innovative, and continuously improve the care and the client family experience.

Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee fosters a culture reflective of, and accessible to the communities we serve. Our purpose is to create an environment where every individual feels valued and respected, where everyone belongs. The DEI Committee will provide support in the development and implementation of DEI initiatives, and act as an ongoing forum for consultation, feedback, recommendations and leadership on matters of DEI.

ErinoakKids is proud to be an Employer Partner with the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI), who provide educational and training resources to support ongoing efforts to deliver and enhance diversity and inclusion initiatives.
