A job at ErinoakKids is much more than a salary. It’s about challenging, yet rewarding work. It’s about benefits that facilitate work/life balance. And most importantly, it’s about helping kids reach their full potential.
Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) at ErinoakKids
ErinoakKids proudly serves families living in Oakville, Mississauga, Brampton and Orangeville – some of the country’s most diverse communities.
We celebrate an inclusive environment which welcomes and respects the differences of our clients and their families, employees, volunteers and community partners.
Our focus on ensuring an integrated approach to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace means we incorporate meaningful practices, policies and processes in all aspects of the work we do. We value the unique background, experiences, skills and talent of our staff – all of which help us to be more creative, innovative, and continuously improve the care and the client family experience.
ErinoakKids is proud to be an Employer Partner with the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI), providing staff with educational and training resources that will support our ongoing efforts to deliver and enhance our diversity and inclusion initiatives.
As an ErinoakKids employee, staff have access to education webinars, toolkits, research, reports and other DEI resources to learn about best practices that staff will be able to apply and incorporate into all aspects of their role.
ErinoakKids Workplace Culture Committee
Our Workplace Culture Committee is comprised of staff representing various departments across the organization, who champion and model ErinoakKids’ desired culture and values, helping create a positive, respectful and inclusive work environment for staff, clients and families.
They provide support, advice and recommendations with the goal of bringing our desired culture and values to life, respecting and fostering engagement, and supporting the development and sustainability of a high-performance and client-serving organization.
We offer competitive pay scales that reflect the healthcare/not-for-profit sectors, and conduct annual salary reviews. Part-time employees have the option to join in the benefit package or receive a percentage of their salary in lieu of benefits.
ErinoakKids’ defined pension plan is offered through the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP). This plan is mandatory for all full-time employees and optional for part-time staff.
ErinoakKids tops up the amount of money a permanent part-time or full-time employee receives through employment insurance. This top-up payment effectively brings the employee’s remuneration while on pregnancy or parental/adoption leave to 70% of the employee’s base salary for a maximum period equivalent to 15 weeks.
WorkPerks® program gives employees access to over 1,200 perks with discounts for brand name stores, local shops, tickets, restaurants and more.
Every year, ErinoakKids formally recognizes and celebrates employees that have contributed 5, 10, 15, 20 & 25 years of continuous service.
ErinoakKids supports professional development opportunities for employees at all levels of the organization, contributing to enhanced job performance, self-development and increased professional competence.
