Emergency Codes and Actions

Emergencies can happen at any time. ErinoakKids has clear emergency procedures, and all visitors should be aware of the codes and their meanings. Staff are trained to act promptly, and visitors should follow directions when given during an emergency.

If you see an emergency situation while visiting our sites, call 911 if possible and call out for help to any ErinoakKids staff in the area.

If you cannot find ErinoakKids staff, dial extension 5555 from any internal EOK phone, state your location and briefly describe the emergency. The emergency code will be announced over the public address (PA) system. When you hear it, remain calm and, if possible, avoid the area where the code has been activated. Trained staff will respond and take the necessary actions.

Please follow directions provided by staff members.

To activate emergencies, dial extension 5555.
