Artificial Intelligence (AI) at ErinoakKids

At ErinoakKids, AI is one of the tools we use to improve service delivery and create more time for our staff to focus on the needs of children, youth and families.

Our use of AI is guided by our values: 

Inclusion: We regularly review AI tools and outputs to ensure they reflect the diverse communities, experiences and perspectives of our clients and staff. 

Collaboration: We seek advice from staff and input from families in how AI is used. 

Excellence: We will stay current with evolving AI technologies and regularly review their appropriate use to support, not replace, human expertise. 

Integrity: We communicate clearly and transparently about our use of AI.

As we explore the exciting opportunities presented by AI, we are committed to using these tools in a responsible, professional, ethical, and lawful manner. The use of AI at ErinoakKids complies with our privacy policy, and with Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and all applicable privacy legislation.
