Mentorship Training

Mentorship Training is a 9-week program for active ErinoakKids clients in high school and is designed to grow your leadership skills and learn how you can support your peers in positive and effective ways.

This program will help you build your confidence and improve your problem solving and communication skills. It's an opportunity to learn and develop skills related to active listening, giving and receiving feedback, problem solving, understanding road blocks to communication, and more.

You will:

  • Attend monthly mentorship meetings with certified mentors from across ErinoakKids’ sites to practice using your new mentorship skills.
  • Manage conversations using skills such as open/closed-ended questions, setting boundaries for yourself, using “I” messages for conflict resolution and understanding your values and how to support someone who has experienced bullying.
  • Receive a certificate of completion.
  • Obtain volunteer hours.

If you're interested in this program, please speak with your lead clinician.
