SSAH News and Updates

SSAH and MFTD contracts were mailed to families this week, slightly later this year due to the provincial election and the shift to a new case management system. Payments expected May 15 will be delayed, but you should expect them to be released in the next few weeks. 

In the event of a postal strike, please upload documents through the SSAH portal or visit any ErinoakKids site to drop them off in person.

ErinoakKids Respite Expansion
Overnight/Weekly Respite Services at ErinoakKids has expanded their catchment areas and is now open to the entire province of Ontario. 

With this change, more families with medically or behaviourally complex children will have access to critical rest in the ErinoakKids state-of-the-art facility among highly qualified and caring staff.

Ontario Raising Minimum Wage to Support Workers
Effective October 1, 2024, the Ontario government is increasing the minimum wage from $16.55 per hour to $17.20.

Under the Employment Standards Act, parents/caregivers are responsible to comply with the minimum wage requirements when paying their Special Needs Workers.
