See It, Say It Clinic

ErinoakKids offers a speciality ultrasound clinic called the See It, Say It Clinic (or SISI for short) that supports school-aged clients with their "r" sound.

Ultrasound biofeedback lets your child see movements inside the body that normally can’t be seen, such as seeing exactly how the tongue moves in the mouth when you say sounds.

In the SISI Clinic, we use ultrasound to see exactly how your child's tongue is moving to determine what strategies or cues would help your child say their "r" sound.

Referral Criteria

This clinic is specific for students in School Based Rehabilitation Services who require additional support to learn to say “r”.

Referrals to this clinic only occur internally from the School Based Rehabilitation Services Speech Language Pathologist

How to Prepare for the Appointment

It is helpful if you tie long hair back and avoid scarves or turtlenecks. Please let us know if you require a private space for modesty.
The clinics can be busy! Please arrive on time for your appointment. Learn more about our four locations.
Please reschedule your appointment if your child has a fever, or has a cut, blemish/acne under their chin or neck.
